The success of the previous PSA conferences, which attracted in the region of 200 visitors and 25 world-wide exhibitors, has prompted the committee of PCIG to organise another conference and exhibition on particle characterisation and powder systems analysis in order to further advance and promote professional development within our industry.

We have pleasure in welcoming you to PSA2011, Monday September 5th, through to Wednesday 7th in the beautiful city of Edinburgh.  We would like to thank you for attending our previous PSA Conferences and would like to extend our welcome to you again in Edinburgh for 2011 and look forward to also welcoming new speakers, exhibitors and delegates alike.

The venue for 2011 is the Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor Hotel, (Grosvenor Street, Haymarket, Edinburgh, EH12 5EF, tel: 01312266001, and has recently been refurbished.  Located in the West End of Edinburgh's city centre, the Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor hotel combines a 1860s listed building with a stylish and modern interior.  Just 200 metres from Haymarket Station, the hotel is a short walk from Edinburgh attractions like Princes Street, Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and Murrayfield Stadium.

The PSA2011 conference and exhibition will be relevant to a range of scientific, technological and engineering sectors, in particular, the pharmaceutical, nuclear, chemical, biomedical, mineral, food and household product industries.  Please browse through the rest of our site for further information.

Registration will be held on Monday 5th September followed by a warm welcome by the Chair of the Particle Characterisation Interest Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry.  Over the 3 days there will be 7 plenary speakers, each followed by an hour long workgroup.  An exhibition will be held on the Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th where refreshments will be served, along with a poster display.  Our drinks reception will be held on the Monday evening and the Conference Dinner on the Tuesday evening.  The event will close on Wednesday 7th September after lunch.

Exhibitor Information

• Deliveries prior to the conference - Please have the parcels clearly labelled with the date of the event and name of the company
• Uplift of Exhibitor Materials after the conference - All materials must be suitably packed for collection with the contact information, destination and courier information clearly labelled on the boxes. For your security, unless the courier has the above information, boxes will not be handed over. Materials left at the hotel after 7 days will be disposed of.
