Invitation for Papers
Papers are invited in the following thematic areas:
- Manufacturing and functionalisation of particulates or structured particulate products from the nanometre to millimetre scale.
- Particle characterisation and measurement.
- Nanoparticles.
- Image analysis.
- PAT.
- Suspension, stability and rheology.
- New materials (MOFW’s & MIPS).
- Foams, emulsions and colloids.
- Safety.
- Bulk powder systems – or 'particulate'.
- Surfaces, pores and interfaces.
PLUS Other exciting areas – we await your suggestions!
The PSA2011 conference and exhibition will be relevant to a range of scientific, technological and engineering sectors, in particular, the pharmaceutical, nuclear, chemical, biomedical, mineral, food and household product industries.
The National Physical Laboratory (NPL)
Dr Robert Boyd Bsc PhD works near London for the The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) UK who are currently working on a pan-European project on the characterisation of nanoparticles. NPL UK is one of a number of companies involved in a consortium of National Measurement Institutes globally that have come together to develop the methods needed for traceable methods for measurement of spherical nanoparticles dimension and assessment of their size distribution and their shape.
We are delighted that they will be involved with the PSA2011 conference. They envisage covering areas including:
- Reliable (traceable) measurement of nanoparticles (accuracy better than 1nm) including sample preparation, instrumentation and reporting of results.
- Characterisation of high aspect ratio nanomaterials (rods, tubes and wires).
- Advanced characterisation techniques - determining the physical and chemical structure of nanoparticles and their properties (transport, electrical and thermal).
